Online Club Membership Registration/Renewal is Live

The Club's Online Membership Registration/Renewal is live! We are asking that all members register or renew their memberships via this method. Doing so will reduce the "paperwork" required and centralize our membership list. We have made every effort to make this process as easy as possible; however, if you have any questions or difficulties, don't hesitate to email me or to call me at 910-690-1179.

Once you have completed the Membership Application/Renewal, take a minute to "Create an Account" under the Member Login on our home page. Having an "member account" on the site offers a number of benefits. For example, we will be able to create one click, broadcast emails to the membership for announcements, changes in events and schedules, etc. Members will be able to directly submit articles and other news items to the site. (Note: All submissions to the site must be approved by Kathy Kirst, the mainSheet Editor, before they are "published" on the site.). Additionally, I plan on adding an "Items For Sale" for boat related items and "Crew List" for members wishing to crew on boats to the site, which would only be viewable to Members with accounts. Club members would have another way to directly email individuals or defined groups of members.

There are probably more benefits that I am not aware of because this is a new system for me, but I will keep you posted via updates in the mainSheet as I uncover them.

The reason for this "two step" process is that the Membership Application/Renewal and Member Accounts on the website are completely separate functions. Neither "talks" to the other. I hope to be able to link them in the future. More to follow; stay tuned.
