Join this non-racing sailing event for the smaller sailing boats on the lake on Saturday July 24th. The tour is aimed for boats like Sunfishes, Lasers, Precision 14's and American 14's. The intent is to make an informal tour around the lake together. The tour will start at the North West corner of Pine Island at 10 AM. The tour will take about 90 minutes and is led by Bob Fewkes in his Sunfish. Even when you are not an experienced sailor, this event is for you! A safety boat will follow the group of boats.
We will keep an eye on the weather and we will let you know in case the weather does not permit us to sail.

The Seven Lakes Sailing Club is pleased to announce the opening of enrollment for the Learn-to-Sail Program. All SLW residents, minimum age of sixteen 16, are eligible for enrollment. COVID-19 vaccination is required to participate. The program is aimed for those persons who would like to (1) learn the basics of sailing, (2) improve their current skills or (3) apply their skills by racing competitively on Lake Auman. Previous sailing experience or boat ownership is not necessary for enrollment, as instruction will consider the needs and objectives of the individual student.

The program will be conducted from Monday, June 14th through Friday, June 18th, 9:30 to 12:30. Instruction is conducted in a classroom setting at a private residence on Lake Auman, and on the water in sailboats provided by Club members. The instructors are members of the Club.
Participants need to be or become a member of the Seven Lakes Sailing Club. Club membership is $25 per family per year. New members can print off an application form from our website, www.sail7lakes.com. (Click “join SLSC” at the top of the home page.)

AHOY!
There’s a new sailing season coming up and we’re expecting relief from the constraints of COVID. A tentative calendar for the 2021 season is posted on the club website, www.sail7lakes.com.
We need to reassess our resources and firm up a program. In order to accomplish that, we’ll have a meeting on May 1st at 10:00 AM in the Community Center to plan logistics. Input from all members is solicited.
Then, all SLSC members are invited to a kickoff BYOB on May 15th at 5:00 PM on the Fewkes’ lakeside yard. (RSVP This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ). Raindate is May 22nd. Bring a dish to pass and come on out to meet old friends and greet new ones!
Membership dues that were paid for the 2020 season will be carried over to 2021. It’s time for folks who didn’t join last year to renew your membership (still $25). Please send your check made out to the Seven Lakes Sailing Club to our treasurer, Nancy Workman, 3420 Seven Lakes West. If your address and latest phone number are not on your check, please include a note with that information. New members can print off an application form from our website, www.sail7lakes.com.
