Welcome Aboard!
The Seven Lakes Sailing Club is a group of Seven Lakes residents who have an interest in sailing. We organize a program of events that includes, learn-to-sail courses, informal sailing events for non-sailors, social activities, and sailboat races around defined courses on beautiful Lake Auman. The racing events are run with all sizes of sailing boats using the Portsmouth handicap system. Our social events include a variety of on-the-water and shoreside activities. The club also includes many pontoon boat and powerboat members who have interests in sailing and in our social activities. You don’t need to have a boat to join and enjoy the sailing and social events of the club. Membership fee for a family is $25 per year. For more information contact the Club Commodore, Bob Fewkes at commodore.slsc@gmail.com.
Kick-off BYOB
Ahoy members of the Seven Lakes Sailing Club,
I am proud to inform you that our season kickoff BYOB party will be held on Saturday on April, 22nd at the waterfront residence of Amy Avery located at 105, Featherston Point. The event will start at 5 PM. All members are kindly invited to attend.
For those not familiar with the concept of the BYOB, in this event you bring your own drinks and a dish to pass (a bite for max 6-8 people).
Members who have not yet registered for their 2017 membership are kindly requested to visit the SLSC web site, complete the online registration (click here), sign the waiver form (click here) and bring it with a check of $25 to the BYOB. Nancy Workman will be happy to accept the signed form and the check from you.
At the moment we are testing an event sign up function on the web site. If you are a registered member, you could help by signing as a member and going to this event on our web site (click here) and follow the instructions. Thanks for your help.
This first social event of the Sailing Club is traditionally a great success. Let’s repeat it and come to this BYOB on April 22nd.
I am looking forward to seeing you all at the BYOB. Happy Easter!!
Bert van Domselaar,
Commodore SLSC
